About Champaign Co Animal Welfare League The Champaign County Animal Welfare League is a newly established non-profit organization. We are here to provide a safe haven for unwanted and abandoned pets. We also are here to preserve and protect all of our furry friends. Every animal at the Champaign County Animal Welfare League will be fully vetted prior to adoption. All Canines are fully vaccinated, including the Rabies and Bivalent Flu Vaccine, HW tested, Spayed/Neutered, treated with flea and heartworm prevention as well as given dental cleanings and extractions if necessary.
We do reserve the right to disapprove any placements that we feel is not in the best interest of the people or the animal. Occasionally an animal will get so much interest that there are several interested applicants. In such a case we will choose the applicant that we feel provides the most ideal chance for a wonderful pet / owner relationship. DOG WARDEN. The Champaign County Sheriff’s Office began the duties of the Dog Warden in January of 2010. We understand the major responsibilities associated with this position and we plan to serve the K-9 community to the best of our abilities.
